By WpClerks

With WordPress.org, you download the WordPress software and install it on your own web hosting server.

You need to purchase and register your own domain name (e.g., www.yourwebsite.com) separately from a domain registrar.

You have complete control over your website's design and functionality. You can install custom themes, plugins, and make changes to the code.

WordPress.com is a hosting service provided by Automattic. Your website is hosted on WordPress.com servers

You can use a free subdomain (e.g., yourwebsite.wordpress.com) or purchase a custom domain through WordPress.com.

Customization options are more limited on the free plan. To unlock more advanced customization features, you need to upgrade to a paid plan.
